Simple and sweet gifts for mom

Last minute Mother’s Day gifts do not have to look last minute!

Give a little glitz and glamor with this beautiful gold cookie sheet from Target.

Add a wooden spatula, an embossed rolling pin or cook book to complete your baking themed gift. This book by Sweet Laurel, is not only beautiful, but is filled with amazing grain-free recipes. Be sure to bookmark the double dark chocolate cookies (page 94) They are my favorite!

Instead of wrapping, add words of praise or thanks directly on the tray with magnetic letters. I used basic children’s multicolored alphabet magnets. You can purchase them at Target, Walmart or Michaels. I decided on a greeting, then spray painted the letters in a metallic gold. Happy baking!

Place a gift card (to pick up mom’s favorite Italian takeouts) in an adorable muslin treat bag instead of a greeting card this year.

Simply add a greeting to the bag using rubber stamps. You can purchase similar bags as well as the stamps at Michaels.

Add a little more fun and interest by wrapping the gift card in a themed napkin instead of tissue paper.

Place your mom’s favorite candy or garden flower seeds in a cardboard container and using a rubber stamp, say Thank you.
